What is what with the guys, has some good laughs. Stephan’s luck hits big with grilling season at its peak. Brent gets some work with Hockey Hold Em. The guys do their normal new in the news and discuss Bill Cosby being released and other noteworthy big news event. They move into the NHL playoffs, this topic can get intense as some plays have been controversial.  

Episode 17: Wrapping up Silver Puck 2021 and NHL Playoffs

In eppy 17 the Just Chirpin' crew recaps the SPC 2021 season. The guys also make their predictions for the NHL playoffs. Dooz screws up.......... oops its not recording, can't even remember what episode it is. This might just be the biggest blooper of Just Chirpin' yet.

Episode 15: NHL Playoffs and SPC Salary Caps

The guys talk about the NHL playoffs and make their own predictions. This episode goes a little bit longer as it goes into the SPC salary cap theory and explanation. 

Episode 14: Travis Charon, 3X AEA Champion

This week the boys sit down with 3x AEA Champion; Travis Charon. Travis gives us his AEA history and more when we discuss the upcoming Silver Puck Challenge weekend with the Fredonia Cup (A) and VanValkenburg Cup (B+) brackets. Later in the show "Producer" Chris drops some interesting news about the new "shared" internet provided by Amazon called; Alexa Sidewalk. The team then discusses the latest NHL playoff status and touch base on the Mark Scheifele (WIN) hit on Jake Evans (MTL) that ended with Evans leaving the game on a stretcher. Jets' Nikolaj Ehlers shows a lot of class as he protects Evans as the two teams scrum. The final AEA Hall of Famer gets announced with a chance to win some prizes from Perani's Hockey World.

Episode 13: Mickelson's Huge Feat & the NHL Playoffs

Stephan takes over the mixer once again with Jay taking the night off; the boys go around the table for their "What's What," Producer Chris fills everyone in on his latest online purchase. After few laughs they jump into the latest accomplishment by PGA's Phil "Lefty" Michelson's becoming the oldest person to win a major at 50 years old. Then they switch gears and talk about the Corey Perry (MTL) and John Tavares (TOR) collision that left Tavares hospitalized. Perry then has to answer the bell to Nick Foligno (TOR). They also talk about the Nazem Kadri's (COL) head hit on Justin Faulk (STL) that lead to Kadri receiving an eight (8) game sussy, an appeal and more. The guys wrap up the show with a little  Silver Puck Challenge preview of the VanValkenburg Cup (B+) and Fredonia Cup (A) that will be taking place next weekend. Episode 12: NHL Playoffs, Blashill & The SPC

The Just Chirpin'™ boys come together and make their predictions about who will come out of the 1st round of the  NHL Playoffs. Jay takes the Livingston Knights (WTF1) over the Montana Wild (WTF2) in the first round; someone needs to watch a little more hockey. The NHL Playoffs seem to be a little more intense this year than in years past, and the Gabriel Landeskog (COL) and Brayden Schenn (STL) fight is primary example of this. The intensity continues as the boys debate the recent re-signing of Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill. What does this mean for the Red Wings rebuild? Stephan and Brent fact check themselves from the previous week and answer the question; Who else in the NHL has scored 100 points in 50 games? Brent gives a recap of the opening weekend of the  Silver Puck Challenge and wrap up the show with moment of remembrance for David Truszkowski. David was a long time participant of the SPC, and friend to many of us "beer leaguers" in west Michigan. He lost his battle with the COVID-19 virus over this past weekend. Episode 11: Cereal Killers & Chocolate Thunder

Full table for episode 11 when Zac Rankin and Joe Lobbezoo from the Battle Creek Cereal Killers join the boys for a fun night of hockey talk. The crew starts off the night with their final thoughts on the war in New York between the Rangers, the Capitals and the NHL. They then tip their lids to T.J. Oshie's (WAS) emotional and well deserved hat trick during the final game of the set; and Connor McDavid's (EDM) 100 point season and how impressive the feat was to accomplish. Just Chirpin' sends out their get well wishes to Tyler Bertuzzi of the Detroit Red Wings. Then the lights go down and the benders come out, as Joe and Zac talk about their beer league hockey experiences, learning the game, the hockey community and the up coming  Silver Puck Challenge tournament. They wrap up this week's show with some hockey locker room hi-jinx; and a "kinda" answer to the question . . . What is "Chocolate Thunder?"
